Who may become a client of The Crowley Collection?
|
|
Our services are available to one and all. Large institututions such as golf resorts, hotels, golf courses, tour operators, and national publications may procure images for promotional and editorial purposes, and individuals may purchase photographs of their favorite course(s) or player(s) just for the joy it brings them.

My company would like to have a portfolio of images produced. How can we go about doing so?

We tailor our services to the needs of each client. The practicalities of producing the photographs (where, when, how many, etc.) vary considerably, so it is important to send us an e-mail. (A link to our contact information is at the bottom of this page.) Then we can get a meaningful dialogue started.

How much are your services?
|
|
That depends on exactly what services you require. A simple 8x10 print of your favorite course is as little as $50US, and a full-day photo shoot is typically $1,500US plus expenses with a guaranteed minimum of number of images in the format(s) required agreed upon in advance. The use of our stock photography by a publication largely depends on the size of the image and the distribution of the magazine. As we said, it all depends!

Can we make our own scans of your film?
|

Absolutely.

We loved your images, they arrived safely, but oops, our photo editor spilled an African blend of java all over them. We're very sorry. Apology accepted?

Oops indeed! This really is a troublesome area. Consider that a photographer flew half-way around the globe, incurred much expense, and now has an image seen through a–not so lovely–African mist. The replacement cost is difficult to determine, but it will be expensive. Trash a single color transparency and it will cost a minimum of $1,000US, so plan on being careful.

May I download digital images?

Of course, but only if you have acquired the necessary rights! We can make custom scans to fit your needs available for quick downloads on short notice. Just let us know your requirements.

I'm a fair photographer myself, and I have a few terrfic photographs of famous courses that I'm very proud of. Any chance of selling them to you or working out some other arrangement?

Perhaps. Send us a thumbnail image along with your contact information and if we are interested we will let you know. Understand, however, that our technical requirements as they affect quality are extremely high.

Your photographers have great jobs, traveling the world, playing great golf courses, photographing them—any chance of becoming a caddie for one of your photographers?!
